Join Us At Stanford
Come join us for a very special event in October where we will be having two talks at Stanford University. The two talks feature speakers from industry and academia. The industry talk will be given by Dr. Achin Bhowmik, distinguished author and display industry stalwart. The academia talk will given by Postdoctoral Fellow Dr. Matthew O'Toole.
Dr. Achin Bhowmik will be speaking about the newly announced Project Alloy, an all-in-one virtual reality solution using Intel's RealSense technology.
Dr. Matthew O'Toole will be speaking about using active illumination to capture 3D shapes.
Bay Area SID is also happy to announce the formation of our Student Branch with Dianmin Lin, Ph.D. candidate at Stanford University, serving as Student Branch Chair.
This event will be held at Stanford University in the Paul G. Allen Building Auditorium (101X). The pizza event will begin at 5:30pm, before the seminar, and the talks will commence at 6:30pm. I really hope to see you there!
