Russ Grulkhe - BA-SID Acting Chairperson
Russ began his optics career by completing the Ph.D in optics at the University of Rochester. My doctoral studies in plasmonic physics gave me optical microstructure fabrication experience. His first jobs in industry concentrated on the design and fabrication of optical microstructured surfaces for applications in aerospace stealth technology and diffractive optics for CO2 industrial lasers. A turning point in his career occurred when he learned non-sequential optical ray-tracing during a consulting job. This skill opened the doors for successive positions in optical systems simulation and design. These positions have culminated with developing the design infrastructure for and then leading a team in front light development. Currently, he leading a team in the development of optical gesture technology at Qualcomm.

Sri Peruvemba - BA-SID Director
Sri Peruvemba has 25 years of experience in the electronics industry include marketing LCD, CRT, TFEL, OLED, LED, Plasma and ePaper displays into the mobile, industrial, medical, signage and TV markets. He earned a BSEE, a MBA and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management. Previously, Peruvemba held senior level positions at E Ink, Sharp Corp, TFS Inc, Planar Systems and Suntronic Technology. Currently he is CEO of Marketer International a marketing services firm that serves customers in the high tech industry and is also the Head of Marketing for SID.
