Display Week 2007 Nears Record Highs for Attendance, Exhibitors

The sunny shores of Long Beach, California welcomed nearly 7,500 visitors last month for the Society for Information Display's 45th annual Display Week.

Held at the Long Beach Convention Center from May 20-25, Display Week 2007 was one of the most successful in the event's history. This year's Symposium drew 2,644 attendees, who enjoyed 279 oral and 210 poster papers. The Symposium and Exhibition combined attracted 7,420 people, and the Exhibit Hall totaled 57,400 square feet of exhibits with 574 booths.

"This year's show was one of the three largest in the Society's history," said Bill Klein, president of Palisades Convention Management, which handles registration for the conference. "We expect next year's Display Week in Los Angeles to be even bigger."

Additional statistics from this year's show will soon be posted on both the 2007 and 2008 conference Web sites. Please check www.sid2007.org or www.sid2008.org for updates.

Relive Display Week with Recordings of This Year's Proceedings

Did you miss any of Display Week 2007's valuable seminars? Wish you could have been in two places at once? No single attendee could possibly have attended all of Display Week's nearly 70 Symposium Sessions and 12 Seminar Sessions. But that doesn't mean you have to miss out on any of the conference's great presentations.

SID is dedicated to bringing you the best education in our industry, so this year we have recorded the bulk of the Symposium and all of the Seminar sessions. The Symposium DVD is selling for $150 for Symposium attendees and $375 for non-attendees. Online Access to the proceedings of all 12 Seminar sessions is available for $50 for Monday Seminar attendees and $300 for non-attendees. Non-attendees can also purchase online access to the proceedings of individual Monday seminars for $75 each.

Display Applications Conference & Supplier Showcase
October 23-25, 2007
Marriott San Francisco Airport Hotel,
San Francisco, California, USA

The Display Applications Conference & Supplier Showcase is directed to those engineers and managers actively involved in the design and selection of displays for a wide range of product applications. It will feature two tracks each day consisting of presentations given exclusively by invited speakers selected for their expertise and extensive knowledge of their subject matter. The emphasis throughout will be on conveying practical knowledge that can be put to immediate use in the selection of technologies, products and vendors that best meet specific display applications.

In addition to the sessions, an integral part of this conference will be found in the exhibition hall, which will feature exhibitors selected based on their ability to provide attendees with immediately useful vendor contacts for displays and the supporting components needed to design and integrate display modules into their final products. Exhibitors will also have the chance to present their latest technology to attendees through an exclusive forum outside of their booths.

More information on the Display Applications Conference will be available soon; check www.sid.org for updates. If you are interested in exhibiting, contact Danielle Rocco at drocco@pcm411.com or (212) 460-8090 ext. 218.
