Cutting-Edge Display Technology to be
Showcased
at Display Week 2007 Exhibition
SAN JOSE, Calif., May 11 - "The best
way to predict the future is to invent it," stated the
American computer scientist Alan Kay in 1971. When it comes to
information displays, the place to see how the future is being
invented is the Exhibition Hall at Display Week 2007: The
SID International Symposium, Seminar & Exhibition,
which is taking place this month at the Long Beach Convention
Center in Long Beach, California, USA.
The Display Week Exhibition is the nursery
of the industry, where leading global information-display
companies proudly unveil the most cutting-edge developments in
display technology for the first time. More display
innovations are introduced year after year at Display Week
than at any other display show in the world. Display Week is
where the world got its first look at the technologies that
now shape the display world, such as HDTV, LCD, Plasma, DLP,
LED, OLED, and FED, to name a few. For 2007,
advances in flexible displays and e-paper, as well as in OLED
and FED TVs, are expected to be among the hot topics emanating
from the Exhibit Hall.
In 2007, the exhibition will feature nearly
300 exhibiting companies in approximately 58,000 square feet
of exhibition space. Whether you like your displays big, small
or anything in between, the only place to see the most
innovative display products in the world is at Display Week
2007 Exhibition, which opens on May 22 and runs through May 24
as part of the larger Display Week event. The hours of the
exhibition are as follows:
Tuesday, May 22: 10:30 am - 6:30 pm
Wednesday, May 23: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
Thursday, May 24: 9:00 am - 2:00 pm
Included among the exhibitors at Display
Week 2007 are 48 companies that will be exhibiting at Display
Week for the first time or will be returning after not
exhibiting at Display Week for the past several years. These
companies, which cover just about every aspect of the display
industry, hail from 10 different countries and represent the
growing worldwide interest in the display industry. Overall,
Display Week 2007 exhibitors hail from 16 countries.
For the fourth consecutive year, the
Display Week Exhibition will host the German Pavilion,
sponsored by the German Federal Ministry of Economy and
organized by the German Flat Panel Display Forum (DFF). In
2007, 24 companies from the German flat-panel-display (FPD)
industry will be represented at the German Pavilion.
In addition, some 33 companies will take
part in the Exhibitors' Forum from Tuesday, May 22 through
Thursday, May 24. Participating companies will deliver
15-minute presentations on their products, offering greater
detail than might be available on the exhibition floor.
