SID Launches Information Display Online
as Premier Web Destination for Display-Industry News

SAN JOSE, Calif., March 28 - The Society for Information Display (SID) announced today the launch of Information Display Online, the Internet arm of Information Display magazine, the official monthly publication of SID.

For 23 years, members of SID have enjoyed Information Display's top-notch editorial coverage of the rapidly expanding electronic information-display industry, from technical articles written by industry experts detailing the latest developments in display technology, to features exploring the business end of displays, to columns and opinion pieces that spark debate throughout the display world. With the launch of Information Display Online, that same coverage-and more-is now just a mouse-click away.

"The launch of Information Display Online is an exciting development for all display enthusiasts, especially those who are already members of SID," explained Stephen P. Atwood, executive editor of Information Display. "With the explosive growth of the display industry in recent years, the need for a Web site to supplement the dynamic coverage found in Information Display each month became apparent. Information Display Online is designed to be that resource for people with all levels of experience in the display business, as well as a gateway to all that the Society offers."

Information Display Online, which can be found at www.informationdisplay.org, includes content from the print magazine as well as original Web-exclusive content that will be updated daily. In the coming months, the site will continue to grow with new and exciting features designed to augment the quality coverage already seen in the monthly print magazine.

One of the highlights will be a searchable archive of past issues of Information Display, allowing display professionals and novices alike the ability to examine articles of their choosing. In addition, Information Display Online will provide on-site daily reports from SID's industry-leading conferences. The first instance of this will be the daily updates provided on Information Display Online from Display Week 2007: The SID International Symposium, Seminar & Exhibition, which will take place May 20-25, 2007 at the Long Beach Convention Center in Long Beach, California.
