Hitachi Introduces Slim-Bezel, 15-INCH LCD Monitor for $399

Westwood, Massachusetts, November 5 -- Hitachi America, Ltd. has introduced its new 15-inch LCD monitor. The new model CML153 weighs only 8 lbs and has a 23.7-mm left and right bezel width, making it one of the lightest and thinnest LCD monitors available. MSRP is $399. 

The CML153 features bezel-integrated speakers, and a headphone jack and volume control on the bezel. The panel meets the VESA FPMPMI (Flat Panel Monitor Physical Mounting Interface) standard, which enables wall-mounting with third party mounting arms. It also features Kensington Security Port. Pixel pitch is 0.297 mm, with 200 cd/m² typical luminance and 300:1 contrast ratio. Native screen resolution is 1024x768 at 60 or 75 Hz. The monitor is available in ivory as the CML153 or in black as the CML153B. The CML153 is TCO '99 approved and the CML153B is TCO '95 approved. 

Both flat panel displays will begin shipping to Hitachi distributors on November 12. Hitachi's LCDs come with a three-year warranty.
