DISPLAY TEST ENGINEER

We currently have a requirement for a Display Test Engineer to develop and implement test methods, LabView based software and testing equipment for Polymer Light Emitting Diodes (P-OLED) test devices and displays. In addition, the Display Test Engineer will perform experimental and non-standard tests for displays and will assist with the failure analysis of devices and displays.

In this role, you will be involved in the invention of new test procedures, and improving existing procedures, for P-OLED, PV and Organic Thin Film Transistors (OTFT) test cells and printed displays. Working to increase the accuracy, robustness, reliability, quality and efficiency of the testing processes, you will also be involved in maintaining, specifying and modifying the test equipment and software to support process improvement activities. In addition, you will have line management responsibility for Technical Assistants and Operators in the test team.

Ideally educated to degree level or higher in physics, computer science or another electronic engineering related discipline, you will have around three years' direct hands on experience in product testing, preferably gained in a physics, optoelectronics or electronics production environment. Highly computer literate you must have strong programming skills in LabView and Visual Basic. In addition, you will have experience of software-hardware communication interfaces such as General Purpose Interface Bus (GPIB) and serial communications (USB, RS232). A general knowledge of optics would also be a distinct advantage.

Your sound problem solving and analytical abilities, along with your excellent time management skills, will allow you to work successfully to challenging deadlines.
