Andras I. Lakatos

Dr. Andras I. Lakatos is the Editor of the Journal of the Society for Information Display since May, 2000. Prior to that he was Manager of Portfolio Planning and Integration at the Joseph C. Wilson Center for Research and Technology of the Xerox Corporation. He joined the research staff of the Xerox Corporate Research and Technology in Webster, New York, in 1966, after receiving a Ph.D. in Applied Physics from Cornell University.

During the 1980s Dr. Lakatos managed a group responsible for research on and development of liquid crystal displays, image bars, and other thin film devices including TFT's. Since 1990 he was engaged in technology portfolio planning and management. He is a fellow of the SID, and Senior Member of the IEEE and of the IS&T. He is also Past President of the SID, and past chairman and current member of the Honors and Awards Committee of the SID. In addition he serves as co-chairman of steering committee for the SID and IS&T co-sponsored annual Color Imaging Conference.
