M2: Progress and Advancements of TFT-LCD Technology for HDTV

TFT-LCDs have been the most successful FPD technology for TV application because of their ability to provide cost-effective performance and their scalability to large sizes. The key technological progress and advancements of TFT-LCDs for HDTV will be reviewed, including wide-viewing-angle performance, high-contrast, and motion-blur reduction. Advanced panel process architecture and driving electronics for ultra-high-definition TV will also be discussed.
