M1: Wide-View Transflective LCDs for Mobile Displays

Basic operation mechanisms of sunlight-readable transflective LCDs for mobile displays will be presented, including single- and dual-cell-gap approaches. Various wide-view technologies, such as multi-domain vertical alignment and fringe-field-switching modes, will be analyzed and compared.
