Society for Information Display Awards
At this year's Symposium, the Society is pleased to honor the following individuals for their important contributions to the display profession and to the Society:

Karl Ferdinand Braun Prize
Dr. Christopher N. King
For his many contributions to the development of electroluminescent display technology and for his business and technical leadership of the major electroluminescent display manufacturer.

Jan Rajchman Prize
Prof. Stephen R. Forrest and Prof. Mark E. Thompson
For their insight into the process of exciton generation and diffusion in organic light emitting diodes that led to the discovery of phosphorescent OLEDs, which quadrupled OLED efficiency.

Otto Schade Prize in Display Performance and Image Quality
Dr. Curtis R. Carlson and Dr. Roger Cohen
For their many contributions to the objective assessment and prediction of display image quality including the development of the first display quality metric quantified in perceptual units of just noticeable differences (JNDs).

Lewis and Beatrice Winner Award
Dr. Aris Silzars
For exceptional and sustained service to the Society.

Fellow of the SID
The following awardees have been made Fellows of the Society.

Prof. Chin Hsin (Fred) Chen
