MEMBERSHIP FEE - A
one-time fee of $75 ($5 for full-time Students or Life Members) is charged to
attend any of the technical programs (Short Courses, SID Business Enterprise,
Symposium, Display Technology Seminars, or Application Tutorial). This fee is
waived for current SID members whose membership is paid through May 2005 or
later. Payment of the fee automatically enrolls the registrant as a SID member
for a 12-month period. Please remember that the membership fee paid at the 2004
Symposium in Seattle will have lapsed by the date of the 2005 Symposium in
Boston. Membership fees are non refundable.
SUNDAY SHORT COURSES - These four-hour classes
covering the fundamentals of information displays are held on Sunday afternoon
and evening. S1 and S2 are held in parallel in the morning (9:00 AM - 1:00
PM). S3 and S4 are held in parallel in the afternoon (3:00 PM - 7:00 PM). You may
register for any single course or for a combination of two (one in the afternoon
and one in the evening). The single course fee is $175.00 ($25 for full-time
Students or Life Members). The combination fee (S5) is $300.00 ($40 for
full-time Students or Life Members). A copy of course notes is included in the
fee for each course.
SID BUSINESS ENTERPRISE (Business Conference and
Investors' Conference) - Stretching over three days (Monday-Wednesday), the
SID Business Enterprise is comprised of the two-day Business Conference ($575)
and one-day Investors' Conference ($195 or $125 when combined with the Business
Conference). This provides executives, entrepreneurs, program managers,
marketers, investment professionals and other professionals in all aspects of
the rapidly growing electronic-display industry with an unparalleled
comprehensive view of all aspects of the industry, from technology tradeoffs, to
market and business dynamics, to equity capital issues. Note that the Business
Conference alone or the full SID Business Enterprise can be combined with the
Symposium at special combination rates. There are no student or Life Member
rates for the SID Business Enterprise. All fees include appropriate
publications.
SYMPOSIUM - The Symposium is held on Tuesday through Friday. It consists of 71 sessions of
invited and contributed papers with over 275 oral presentations and 160 poster
presentations. Each paper has been subject to a peer review before being
included in its designated technology session. The fee for the symposium is $375
($35 for full-time Students or Life Members). A copy of the Symposium Digest and
a CD-ROM is included in the fee.
DISPLAY TECHNOLOGY SEMINARS - These seminars on
diverse topics, related to the information display field, are held on Monday.
There are twelve seminars scheduled for Monday (M1 - M12). There is no single
seminar registration. Registering for the Display Technology Seminars entitles
you to attend any combination of seminars. The fee for the Display Technology
Seminars is $300 ($40 for full-time Students or Life Members). A copy of the
Display Technology Seminar Notes, which contains material for all 12 seminars,
is included in the fee.
APPLICATION TUTORIALS - The Applications
Tutorials are practical and interactive 90-minute tutorials held on Wednesday
through Friday in the early morning hours (7:30 AM - 9:00 AM) before the
Symposium sessions begin. Two tutorials are scheduled in parallel each of these
3 days. Registrants may attend one tutorial on each of the three days. The fee
for the Applications Tutorials is $175 ($15 for full-time Students or Life
Members). A copy of the Applications Tutorial Notes, which contains material for
all six sessions, is included in the fee.
EXHIBITION ONLY - Registering for any of the
technical sessions allows the attendee admittance to the Exhibition on Tuesday
through Thursday without further fee. However, if you plan to attend the Exhibit
only, without registering for any of the above technical sessions, there is a
charge of $10. Exhibit-only registration does not require a current SID
membership.
EXHIBITOR FORUM - Here,
exhibitors give 15-minute presentations describing their technologies and
products in a symposium-like setting, offering attendees a more complete picture
of what is being exhibited. The presentations are organized by subject and will
be presented on a predetermined schedule
