Will recordings of
the Technical Sessions be available?
Resourceful Recordings Inc. will be recording all Symposium technical
sessions (Tuesday through Friday), and copies will be ready approximately
15?20 minutes after each session. CDs will cost between $9 and $12 each
for up to 1.5 hours of presentation time at the Resourceful Recordings
order desk, which will be located in the SID '05 registration area, or
through the mail after the Symposium. Speakers may pick up a complimentary
CD of their own presentation at the desk
How can I order
books?
Additional conference publications are not available through advance
registration. There will be a Book Store adjacent to the Registration Desk
at the Symposium. If you are not attending the Symposium and wish to
purchase conference publications, please contact the SID HQ Office at
(408) 977-1013, fax (408) 977-1531, e-mail: office@sid.org.
Are cameras
and/or recorders allowed?
The use of flash cameras, video recorders and audiotape is prohibited in
the Symposium and Seminar sessions. Picture taking in the Exhibit Hall is
prohibited unless specific permission is obtained from the appropriate
booth personnel.
What is the
cancellation policy?
A $25 cancellation fee will apply on all cancellations made on or before
May 6, 2005. In addition, any registrant required to pay the $75
membership fee will have that fee applied toward a new or renewed SID
annual membership. This membership fee is non-refundable. No refunds will
be made on cancellations received after May 6, 2005 or for non-attendance,
but copies of the appropriate conference publications will be mailed upon
request.
Will coffee be
served during the Symposium?
Complimentary coffee will be served Sunday, and Monday outside the
designated seminar rooms, and in the Exhibit Hall on Tuesday through Thursday.
How can I find out
about job opportunities while at SID '05?
SID '05 will provide a forum to match people looking for jobs with job
opportunities. Room 303 at the Hynes Convention Center will be designated as
SID's job placement room where employers can list positions available and
meet with conference attendees seeking employment. Also, individuals
seeking employment may post a position-wanted notice. The job placement
room will be open from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Tuesday through Thursday.
Are mailing
services available onsite?
A representative of a mailing service will be available on Thursday and
Friday, May 26-27 to mail attendees' books back to their office at the
attendees' cost. This mailing service will be located in the SID
registration area.
Do I have to
be a member of SID to attend the Symposium or Exhibition?
Registration for any technical function at SID '05 requires the registrant
be a SID member at the time of the Conference in May. Technical functions
include any seminar, symposium or business conference function.
Exhibits-only registration does not require membership. Please note that
membership fees paid at last year's meeting in Seattle will have expired
prior to this year meeting in Boston.

Will a Message
Center be available at the Symposium?
A message center will be located in SID registration area of the
Convention Center. Phone messages received at the SID message center will
be posted. Attendees may also post messages for other attendees at the

Is there a
Spouses' Hospitality Suite?
A Spouses' Hospitality Suite will be set up in the Clarendon Room at the
Sheraton Boston Hotel Monday through Thursday. Coffee and pastry will be served each
morning at 8:00 am. A representative of the Convention and Visitors Bureau
will be on hand Monday and Tuesday morning to assist anyone looking for
things to do in and around Boston.
