The Texas Chapter of the SID, is inviting
you to attend the upcoming chapter event
focusing on "The needs and challenges
of the $100 laptop computer". For this
chapter meeting, presentations from experts
of reputable companies involved in this
field are being arranged. Also, an expert
consultant will focus on the
government-enterprise collaboration efforts
needed to successfully penetrate undeveloped
regions with low cost computers.
This is a local SID Texas Chapter event, co-
sponsored by IEEE (Electron Device Chapter),
and hosted by Dell. The event is open for
both members and non-members of the SID and
IEEE. Door opens at 6:30 pm for registration
with presentations beginning sharply at 7:00
pm. Refreshments and soft drinks will be
served. This is a great opportunity to
network with local experts in the fields of
display and computing industries. Please
