Mr. Rick Machonkin gave an excellent talk on patent laws.
The meeting was well attended (31 people) and was the first
UMW chapter meeting in Chicago area.

Two well attended exciting
talks; "NASA Spitzer Space Telescope" by Robert
Gehrz, University of Minnesota and "Stardust" by
Robert Pepin, University of Minnesota were presented at MinnTS
2008. Over 150 people attended the conference in spite of the
long Easter weekend. This joint local conference is growing
every year and is becoming very popular. We are also planning
to hold it next year. More details about MinnTS can be found
