“What's New in Touch”.

Geoff Walker of Walker Mobile, LLC,

Geoff Walker, founder and owner of Walker Mobile, LLC, will present “What's New in Touch”.  This presentation will explore recent commercial developments in several touch technologies, including projected capacitive, infrared, optical, and others.  Topics include current status, active and passive styli, effect of Windows 8, and manufacturing for cost-reduction. The presentation will end with a Q&A session.

Geoff Walker is the founder and owner of Walker Mobile, LLC, a Silicon-Valley –based technical-marketing consulting firm focused on touch and mobile devices.  Geoff has been involved in mobile devices since 1982, when he worked on the world's first laptop, and touch since 1989, when he worked on the world's first pen tablet.  Having worked both for touch-technology supplies and for touch-product OEMs, Geoff has substantial experience in many aspects of touch which has allowed him to become internationally known as a touch-panel and touch-industry expert.   Geoff has presented at 22 display, touch, and emerging-technology conferences in the US, Japan, Taiwan and China since 2007.  Mr. Walker has a BS in Electrical Engineering and a BS in English.

Social Hour will start at 6 PM

Start Dinner  6:30 PM.  The meal will our popular Delicatessen Buffet with salads, make your own sandwiches, dessert, coffee and tea.

Meeting will start at 7:30 PM.
